Meet Conor

Having spent 40 years in business in the Cork area, I retired in 2022. With an extensive knowledge of the geography of my native County and beyond, and a lifelong interest in Irish history, tour guiding was always going to be my retirement project.

I enrolled in an Irish National Tour guiding level six course with the Educational Training Board under the auspices of Bord Failte where I achieved a distinction. The inner workings of this training coupled with my extensive knowledge of Irish History, Culture, Customs and its natural beauty makes me an ideal guide for your bespoke tour.

Initially, I spent two seasons as a semi-private guide aboard mini coaches out of privately owned castles and from Cruise ports of Dunmore East and Cobh, I expanded my repertoire year two to include private tours using my fully licenced E series Mercedes. This is the area I will focus on going forward.

I have already worked for quite a few 5 star hotels as well as four major tour operators. In a private capacity, I have a keen interest in nature and am currently Chair of the Cork Branch of Birdwatch Ireland. I also have a good working knowledge of all the major Golf Courses in the south of Ireland. I speak enough French to get by in most situations and can also hold conversations in Irish, our native language.
